Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What makes your coaching different?

A. As an Amputee Coach with over 30 years of experience, I bring a unique perspective that combines both lived and professional expertise. I have personally worn a prosthetic leg for decades and have also served amputees as a Prosthetist. This means I understand the journey not only from the inside out but also from a clinical care standpoint.

My mission is to bridge the gap in care that many amputees face between medical appointments, rehabilitation, and daily life. I provide comprehensive support and resources to help you navigate both the physical and emotional challenges of limb loss. Through personalized coaching, I work with you to create a care plan that fits your lifestyle, goals, and unique needs—whether that’s improving mobility, increasing confidence, or simply feeling more in control of your care.

Q. Who do you work with?

A. I coach amputees of all ages and stages. Whether you are:

      • Newly amputated and preparing for your first prosthetic,

      • Already wearing a prosthesis but struggling with mobility or comfort,

      • Facing setbacks, phantom pain, or confidence issues, or

      • Years into your journey but looking for more independence and purpose—

I can help. I also work with caregivers and family members who want tools and strategies to better support their loved ones.

    Q. What can I expect from a coaching session?

    A. Each session is personalized and designed to meet you where you are today. Common topics include:

        • Building confidence and emotional resilience

        • Developing strategies for independence

        • Improving prosthetic use and mobility

        • Phantom pain management techniques

        • Residual limb care and skin health

        • Returning to work, hobbies, or sports

        • Navigating accessibility challenges in daily life

        • Connecting you with trusted amputee resources

My role as your Amputee Coach is to help you identify challenges, create practical solutions, and keep you moving forward with encouragement and accountability.

      Q. How long are sessions, and how often should I book?

      A. Sessions are typically 30–60 minutes long and held virtually by Zoom (or phone if you prefer). How often we meet depends on your goals—some people book just a few sessions to work on a specific issue, while others prefer ongoing support over several months to build consistency and confidence.

      Q. What are your coaching rates?

      A. I offer both single sessions and discounted multi-session packages. This way, you can choose what best fits your needs and budget.  Check Pricing here.

      Q. What if I’m not sure coaching is right for me?

      A. That’s completely understandable. To help, I offer a free 15-minute consultation call. This is your chance to ask questions, share your goals, and see if working with me feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure—just an open conversation.

      Q. What kinds of amputee products do you offer?

      A. In addition to coaching, I provide carefully selected amputee products designed to improve daily comfort and independence. These include:

          • Residual limb care and skin protection products

          • Prosthetic Liners

          • Motivational and educational resources

I only recommend products I have personally tested and trust. As both an amputee and a former Prosthetist, I know how important it is to find items that truly work in real life.

        Q. How do I choose the right products?

        A. Visit the “Ask Coach Lynn” page to reach out first.

I guide you through the options and recommend products based on your specific needs. This way, you don’t waste time or money on things that won’t help you.

        Q. How do I place an order?

        A. You can order directly through my website or by contacting me. I ship within the U.S.

        Q. What if a product doesn’t work for me?

        A. Your satisfaction matters. If something isn’t the right fit, you can return it under my return/refund policy. I want you to feel supported, not stressed.

        Q. How does coaching help with acceptance and confidence?

        A. Many amputees tell me they feel “stuck between appointments”—doctors and prosthetists handle the medical side, but the emotional and daily challenges often get overlooked. Coaching fills that gap.

I provide a safe space where you can talk openly, process emotions, and learn tools to rebuild confidence. By focusing on resilience, independence, and self-advocacy, coaching helps you gain control over your care and your future.

        Q. Do you only coach amputees?

        A. My specialty is working with amputees and their families. However, the strategies I teach—mindset, resilience, goal-setting, and independence—can be applied to anyone facing major life changes.

        A. Getting started is easy. Simply book a free discovery call (insert booking link here) or contact me directly. Together, we’ll create a personalized care plan and take the first steps toward building the confident, independent life you deserve.
